ABOUT DAVE MCDOWELL
A Strength Coach
Dave McDowell (MexSci, CSCS) grew up in Burlington Ontario playing a variety of sports with a special interest in football. As a five-year football starter at the University of Toronto and a 2007 East-West All-Star, McDowell discovered his passion for Strength & Conditioning.
After earning a Bachelor of Physical Health & Education from the University of Toronto, McDowell obtained a graduate certificate in Human Performance Training from Sheridan College, and a Masters in Exercise Science (Strength & Conditioning) from Edith Cowan University in Perth, Australia.
McDowell has been a full time Strength & Conditioning Coach since 2009. Some notable positions include Sports Performance Director of SST Burlington, Strength & Conditioning Expert with Softball Ontario Development Center, Strength & Conditioning Consultancy with Bobsled Ontario athletes, and Strength and Conditioning assistant with the University of Guelph Football Team.
McDowell is a problem solver; he is driven by creating simple solutions for optimizing athletic performance. He enjoys teaching and mentoring the next generation of Strength & Conditioning coaches at Brock University.
